I had the pleasure of meeting Ken Livingstone, Val Shawcross and Len Duvall as part of Ken’s campaigning day in Lewisham. During a round table discussion, the issues of fares and housing were identified as key priorities. Cllr Morrison Photo: Cllr Pauline Morrison meets Ken Livingstone and Len Duvall.

Lewisham adopted the 1475 Squadron of the ATC and held a large reception at Hollyhedge House, Blackheath. Although the squadron is now based in Southwark (about 100 yards over the Lewisham Borough boundary) they have led our Remembrance Service Parade for many years. Cllr Morrison gave a speech to 400 people commending the adoption. Wednesday night’s Assembly allocated £10,000 of funds to community groups and endorsed the ring-fenced money to be spent on Crofton Park Library, Youth Services and Street Scene. The funding allocation is as follows:
£ Project 1,480 Elder Persons Support Project 1,500 Dalmain Community Project (Pen) 1,000 Blythe Hill Festival 2012 1,515 Brockley Max Festival 835 Honor Oak Station planters 1,900 Take Flight Theatre School 1,770 Ackroyd volunteers |
